Alexandra Basin.

The Alexandra Basin is one of New Zealand’s most continental winegrowing areas, defined by warm dry days, cold nights, low rainfall, and significant elevation. These conditions slow ripening and preserve natural acidity, helping us produce wines with brightness, structure, and precision. The combination of climate, soils, and altitude plays a key role in the texture and energy we seek in both our sparkling and still wines.

Vineyards in the basin sit between approximately 200–400 meters elevation, with free-draining soils and strong diurnal temperature shifts. This natural balance between sugar development and acid retention is especially important for our ancestral method sparkling wines.
